AN interactive trail will give visitors the chance to see Basingstoke town centre in a new light this February half term.
Love Basingstoke and Festival Place will present the interactive Let’s Glow light trail which will illuminate Basingstoke town centre throughout half term, following positive feedback on a similar trail last year.
Spanning from Festival Place, through the Top of the Town to War Memorial Park, the trail will see visitors explore projections, a light show, lasers and tree illuminations.
Cabinet member for sports, leisure and culture Cllr Kerry Morrow said: “Back by popular demand, the Let's Glow trail will brighten up the dark February evenings and give people of all ages the chance to see the town centre in a different light.

“The illuminations and projections will be an experience not to be missed. I would like to thank Festival Place and Zeal Productions who have worked closely with us to create this special trail for the whole family to enjoy.”
Basingstoke-based production company Zeal will transform the Top of the Town with street projections and a light roof on London Street from Monday, February 12 to Saturday February 17 between 5pm and 9pm.

A light tunnel will also provide the perfect backdrop for a photo.
Over in Festival Place from Monday, February 12 to Sunday, February 18, visitors will be able to head to the unit next to Swarovski on the upper level for some interactive light fun. Check the Festival Place website for opening times.
Festival Place marketing manager Sian Fisher added: “We’re really pleased to be taking part in Basingstoke’s light trail again. Last year was a huge success and we can’t wait to reveal our magical experience for visitors to enjoy this year.”
