A radio station which broadcasts at Basingstoke Hospital has been nominated four times at the national awards.
Basingstoke Hospital Radio has been shortlisted in four categories at the National Hospital Radio Awards 2024, with the winners due to be announced at an awards ceremony in April.
The four categories in which the station was nominated are Best Station Promotion, Best Special Event, Best Newcomer and Station of the Year.

The promo for Random Vinyl on The Sound of Sunday, a show by Neil Ogden was shortlisted in Best Station Promotion, with Hospital Radio Basingstoke's NHS 75 day from July 2023 nominated for Best Special Event.
Lena C is nominated for Best Newcomer, with Hospital Radio Basingstoke once again one of the ten stations shortlisted in the Station of the Year category.
It’s the 14th time that Hospital Radio Basingstoke has been nominated in this category.
Hospital Radio Basingstoke is a registered charity that broadcasts 24 hours a day to the patients and staff of Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital through the free radio service on the Hospedia terminals, which are installed at almost all beds within the hospital.

It is run entirely by volunteers, who regularly give up their spare time to entertain the listeners.
