A TEENAGER from Basingstoke has been arrested following an investigation into the serious assault of a man in his 40s.
The 16-year-old boy was arrested on February 12 on suspicion of attempted murder and possessing a controlled drug of Class B.
Officers were called on January 30 at 11.24PM to reports of an assault on a footpath near Buckskin Lane.

A man in his 40s reported being assaulted with an unknown weapon. His phone was also taken.
The man suffered serious facial and head injuries and was taken to hospital to receive treatment.
The teenager remains in custody while Hampshire Constabulary carry out their inquiries.
