A POPULAR, award-winning Indian restaurant is holding a special lunch buffet to celebrate Holi.
Following on from the success of their Valentine's Day event, the Spicy Tadka, located at Westminster House, just outside Festival Place, is due to host a celebration for Holi, the Indian Festival of Colour.
The special celebratory lunch buffet will take place on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, featuring a series of special dishes reflecting the significant Hindu festival which celebrates colours, love, and Spring.
Owner Gagan Joshi said: "We will be offering a traditional Holi special buffet for our Holi celebrations.
"The menu is not yet finalised but there will be over 20 items available."

On Wednesday, February 14, the restaurant held a celebratory event in honour of Valentine's Day.
Mr Joshi said: "Recently, Spicy Tadka celebrated Valentine's Day with nice decorations and a special menu.
"This was well praised by our customers as they celebrated the festival of love in style.
"We were very pleased with the Valentine's Day celebration. We welcomed over 60 customers who enjoyed our specially innovated dishes like palak patta chaat, chicken satay, Dahi Bhalla, Rajasthani laal Maas and a fusion dessert."

The Indian restaurant, which was named Restaurant of the Year in the South East category of the National Curry Awards, held at the House of Lords in Westminster, London in October 2023, specialises in "authentic Indian food with an innovative twist".
In January 2024, the restaurant was awarded with a five-star food hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency.
Mr Joshi, told the Gazette: "I am quite happy with the new rating, since starting in the restaurant business 10 years ago, we have always had five-star ratings, and we were disappointed when we were downgraded last year."
