CRIME reported to police in Basingstoke and Deane has decreased, according to the latest figures.
In December 2023 - the most recent month available - 949 crimes were reported across the borough, which is down from 1,100 crimes reported in the previous month of October, according to data.police.uk.
The most common category was violence and sexual offences, with 372 offences reported, which is down from 427 reports in November.

Criminal damage and arson was the second-most common category, with 95 reports during the month, followed by 81 reports of public order offences.
