POLICE have continued their investigation into the recent attempted murder in Buckskin.
On Sunday, February 18, police maintained a presence in the Buckskin area, with officers seemingly searching through hedges and grass.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary told the Gazette: "I can confirm it was a routine search as part of the ongoing serious assault investigation near Buckskin Lane."

The investigation comes after an 18-year-old was charged with attempted murder after a man in his 40s was attacked in January.
As previously reported, officers were called to the incident on a footpath near Buckskin Lane at 11.24pm on Tuesday, January 30.
Amman Majid, 18, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place after a man in his 40s was attacked with an unknown weapon, and had his phone stolen.
The man suffered serious facial and head injuries and was taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital to receive treatment.
