DRIVERS in and around Basingstoke and Deane will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• A303, from 8pm February 22 to 6am February 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, M3, junction 9 to Bullington Cross, carriageway closure for Scottish and Southern Power works, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.
• M3, from 8pm February 22 to 5am February 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 9, slip road and lane closures for signage work.
• M3, from 8pm February 27 to 6am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 7 to junction 6, Lane closures for inspection work.
• M3, from 8pm February 28 to 6am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 6, slip road and lane closures for litter clearance.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
