A HAMPSHIRE man died in South Africa after going missing when hiking, an inquest opening heard.
Timothy Kite, of Reading Road North, Fleet, died on February 3 this year.
The inquest, held on February 21, heard that Mr Kite, 64, had been on holiday with his family in Cape Town when he went for a hike.

After initially having contact with his family, they lost contact with him. He was found dead by a mountain rescue team.
A post-mortem was carried out in South Africa, which gave the cause of death as heat stroke.
Senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson adjourned the case for a full inquest to be held at Winchester Coroners' Court on February 10 next year.
