A POPULAR Basingstoke business has expanded with the opening of its third restaurant in less than four years.
Greek Street, which already has venues at Chineham Shopping Centre and at Basingstoke and North Hants Cricket Club, has opened its third restaurant in the town centre in Wote Street.
The restaurant has opened next to Plush Lounge Bar, which has agreed for Greek Street to use its outdoor seating area during the summer months.

The family-run business opened its first restaurant in the town in September 2020 and has since gone from strength to strength, opening a second location at Basingstoke Sports And Social Club before the 2024 opening of its third restaurant in Wote Street.
On the menu are traditional gyro wraps, a grill box, a kid's menu, and sides including halloumi skewers, chips, salad and much more, plus a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Greek Street will continue running its other two restaurants, but owner Suzanna Collings said the Wote Street venue will have more seating available, with space for around 30 to sit down and eat.

The new restaurant will open from 11am to 9pm occupying a unit that has been empty for several years.
The unit was due to be taken over by Kebab House after it was granted planning permission in December 2020 to open as a hot food takeaway. However, the business never opened.
It was previously used as a barber shop which closed in 2020.
