A BEREAVEMENT care charity has organised a special five-mile walk in Basingstoke to raise money.
The Basingstoke branch of Cruse will hold the walk on Sunday, March 24, taking in beautiful views, to raise money to support bereaved people, following an increase in demand for bereavement support since the pandemic.
The event follows the success of last year's walk.
Colin Godfrey, chair of Cruse North and North-East Hampshire, said: "We are really excited again to be organising this special walk. We’ve been supporting bereaved children, young people and adults in Basingstoke area for over 30 years and know how important it is that people grieving get specialist support, as soon as they need it. Last year we supported well over 200 clients, and we have increased the number of volunteers to help deal with the steady increase in client referrals.
