DAMAGED cables have caused problems with broadband for some customers in the Basingstoke area.
According to Virgin Media customers, there has been ‘widespread outage’ in areas of the town including Chineham and Sherfield Park.

A spokesperson for Virgin Media said: “Due to damaged cables, a small number of customers in the Basingstoke area may be experiencing issues with their broadband services.
"Our teams are on site working to repair the problem and fully restore services as soon as possible.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
