FOUR men have been arrested after a fight broke out near a pub in Aldershot town centre.

At around 11.50pm on Thursday, February 29, there was a fight at The George pub on Victoria Road.

Two officers were patrolling the area at the time and spotted the incident. They quickly engaged and arrested four men at the scene. 

A 40-year-old man from Rowley Regis, West Midlands, was arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.

A 29-year-old man from Rowley Regis, West Midlands, was arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.

A 32-year-old man from Camberley was arrested on suspicion of affray and using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

A 31-year-old man from Farnborough was arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing a controlled drug of Class B.

All four men remain in custody and no injuries have been reported.

A Hampshire Constabulary police spokesperson said: "Officers continue to investigate the incident, which includes reviewing CCTV footage, and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or the lead up to it.
