HAVE you ever wondered where you can spot a starling murmuration near Basingstoke?
During winter months, a large number of starlings visit Britain from the continent to find warmth in our island climate, their 'murmurations' - the name for a flying flock of starlings - create spectacular shapes in the sky.
Murmurations can be made up of tens and even hundreds of thousands of starlings, spiralling and funnelling into incredible shapes in the sky.
These wonderful natural phenomena have been spotted in and around Basingstoke, and we've compiled a list of places where you just may be able to spot the beautiful birds.
Using information from starlingsintheuk.co.uk, we've put together a list of recent starling sightings, and where they were seen.
