Basingstoke’s MP Maria Miller joined the new local bobby for Chineham PC Ralph Frostick to meet the public and answer questions.

They were in Chineham Shopping Centre, with Chineham borough councillor Paul Miller, for a beat surgery on Thursday, February 15.

As previously reported, bobbies have been brought back to Basingstoke and each one will have a specific area to control, with their name, email address and phone number publicly available, allowing them to be contacted by residents.

The bobbies will be in touch with their communities, addressing the root causes of crime in their areas.

“It was great to join local Chineham bobby, PC Frostick and his team for a beat surgery at Chineham Shopping Centre. Many residents stopped by to speak to us about what local issues concern them and to express their support for the local bobby scheme.

“I want to encourage all residents to find out who their designated named officer is, and to help with this, I will be holding more beat surgeries in other parts of the town in the coming weeks.”
