FOUR girls have been arrested after a teenager was taken to hospital after being kicked, punched and dragged by her hair during an assault.
As previously reported, at around 5.45pm on Saturday, February 24 Thames Valley Police were called to an assault in Mortimer.
The victim, a girl in her teens, was assaulted by a group of girls in the playing fields opposite the Horse and Groom pub.
The girls kicked and punched the victim, and dragged her by her hair.
She sustained injuries that required hospital treatment.

Following a police investigation, four arrests have been made.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "Three girls from Mortimer, two aged 14 and the other aged 17, and a 16-year-old girl from Beenham, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. They have since been released on bail.
"Anyone with information about the incident should contact Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference 43240088079."
A car also arrived and a young female passenger wearing a white dressing gown got out of the car and attacked the victim before returning to the vehicle and leaving the scene.
