AN AWARD-winning financial advisory has chosen its charity of the year, after hearing about its incredible work.

Fortem Financial Management, based in Rankine Road, Basingstoke, has selected the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) to support this year.

Director Shannon Liddiard was incredibly impressed with the work carried out by HIOWAA after seeing members of the team at the Inspire Business Awards in July last year.

Shannon said: “There was a fantastic video of the work they do in local area and the after care support they give the people they help and it really resonated with me. We were looking for a charity to support during 2024 and after visiting their facility and seeing first hand what they do, there was only one charity for us.

“I realised it wasn’t just monetary support they need, but also volunteers and we are able to provide both in many different ways.  They are also looking to engage with local schools and this dovetails well with the work we currently do in the local education community.”

HIOWAA’s supporter engagement officer, Natalie Russell, said: “There is a thriving business community in Basingstoke and the support we receive is wonderful.  To have Shannon and Fortem Financial Management as part of the team is excellent and we look forward to working with them to make a fantastic 2024.”
