HERE'S why you might have spotted a number of fire engines in Oakridge on Tuesday.
Residents in the area noticed several fire engines in Vivian Road, Oakridge, on March 3, causing concern.
The incident turned out to be a 'false alarm' according to a spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.

They added: "Crews from Basingstoke and Overton were alerted to an alarm sounding at a property on Vivian Road at 3pm this afternoon.
"Upon arrival firefighters discovered it was a false alarm with no signs of fire.
"HIWFRS conducted a Safe and Well visit before returning to station."
