A BASINGSTOKE teenager charged with attempted murder appeared at crown court for the first time.
Amman Majid, 18, of Chivers Close, Buckskin, is charged with the attempted murder of Andrew Loake after an attack on January 30.
Majid is also charged with possessing a sharp blade in Buckskin Lane, Basingstoke, on the same day.

Majid's defence told Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, March 6, that they would be applying to have the case dismissed due to a 'lack of evidence'. A case management review has been set to decide this on Friday, April 19.
Russel Pyne, prosecuting, told the court that the alleged attack was a "dispute over a drugs business which led to an attack with a machete".
A five-day trial has also been listed for Monday, July 22.
Majid will remain in custody until the further case management hearing on April 19.
