A Sherbourne St John man has won a bronze medal in the British University and Colleges Sports (BUSC) 2024 Snooker Championship.
Luke Davies, 21, was one of 150 students competing in the annual event which was held at the Woking Snooker Centre between March 14-16.
Competing in the tournament for the first time, Luke won five consecutive knockout matches to become the only unseeded player to progress to the semi-finals.

He also finished as the highest-ranked English player in this year’s event with three of the other top four places going to overseas students.
Luke, who is in his final year of a BSC honours degree in Renewable Energy at Exeter University, is the vice-president of the Falmouth and Penryn Universities Snooker and Pool Club.
He plays his snooker at the Academy in West Ham Lane and is coached by Basingstoke snooker coach, Trevor Thorn.
