AN OLD Basing man has been hit with penalty points after he was caught using a mobile phone while behind the wheel.
Gary Davidson, of Basingfield Close, was driving a Ford Transit on the A31 in Ringwood when he was spotted using a phone. The offence took place on Saturday, September 2, last year.

The 36-year-old admitted to the offence during a hearing at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 11.
Davidson’s driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points. He was also fined £166, along with being told to pay £110 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge.
A further offence of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver/rider of a vehicle when required was withdrawn.
