PRESENTER Declan Donnelly gave a shout out to Basingstoke residents on live TV on Saturday night after coming to the town last week for filming.
Joined by his presenting partner Ant McPartlin, the pair visited Asda in Brighton Hill on Monday, March 25 ,to film their hit show Saturday Night Takeaway.
The pair were joined by Stephen Mulhern and were seen on the show which aired on Saturday, March 30 filming a special edition of In for a Penny at Asda in Brighton Hill.

It involved two local participants who took part in a driving challenge, tasked with parking their car in a bay guided by either Ant or Dec.
Stephen made fun of the town jokingly calling it ‘Boringstoke’ after one of the participants, who came from Berkshire, wouldn’t stop talking.
However, Dec gave a shout out on the show to Basingstoke residents who had come to watch the filming and cheer them on.

Hundreds of people headed to Asda on Monday to watch the filming, including many who gathered outside Acute Look Hair & Beauty, in Brighton Hill parade, where Ant, Dec and Stephen were filming.
On the show, the pair were seen inside the hairdressers where they guessed whether people with towels on their heads had hair or no hair.
The duo were also filmed inside Asda supermarket where they challenged several shoppers to play a hilarious game of ‘higher or lower’ with food items.
