A MAN from Sherfield on Loddon who has raised almost £5,000 for a Basingstoke group has donated his latest fundraising efforts.
Rod Wisniewski presented the cheque worth just more than £1,700 to LINK2 at the Sherfield Park Community Centre on Saturday, March 16.
LINK2 is a family orientated group run from Hatch Warren Community Centre. The club gives support to a group of young adults who can find life a challenge. It supports the members towards growing independence.

Dilys Buchan, manager of the charity, said: "For the past three years Rod has stepped in to support us financially. He has raised nearly £5,000 over this time by doing Santa runs and collections of Christmas trees from homes in Sherfield on Loddon."
He added: "We also thank residents of Sherfield on Loddon for their continued generosity and support each year.
"We are based at Hatch Warren for our youth clubs but also go to many Basingstoke’s pubs, restaurants, and leisure venues for our Monday nights out."
