THE fire service was called to another incident at a Basingstoke block of flats.
It is the second time firefighters have been called to attend Crown Heights, in Alencon Link, following a fire at the building on Friday, April 5.
One floor of the building was evacuated after a fire was found on a balcony during Friday’s incident.

The fire service was again called to Crown Heights at around 10pm on Monday, April 8.
A resident, who did not want to be named, told the Gazette the fire alarms had been set off after someone burnt their cooking on the upper ground floor in block four.
She said the fire service is quick to respond to any reports of a possible fire at the building because of the risk of the flammable cladding.
As previously reported, work to remove the potentially dangerous cladding was delayed again last year after residents were told it would start in September 2023.

The work is now expected to start in July 2024.
The external cladding at Crown Heights, which has around 250 flats, contains the flammable material ‘expanded polystyrene’ and features no fire breaks.
It means the building is at risk of being engulfed if a fire broke out, similar to the tragedy that happened at Grenfell Tower in 2017.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has been asked for further information about the incident on April 8.
