A MAN from Basingstoke who assaulted a woman has been ordered to complete unpaid work.
On Saturday, September 23, Darren Tompkins, of Damsel Path, assaulted a woman in the town.
The 46-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offence on Monday, September 25, but was found guilty on Friday, February 16.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, April 3, Tompkins was sentenced for the offence.
Magistrates ordered him to complete rehabilitation activity, along with 180 hours of unpaid work.
Court costs of £775 and a surcharge fee of £114 must also be paid.
