TWO rising sports stars from Basingstoke have won their first international Badminton doubles title.
Saicharan Kannan and George Manoj won the Junior OLVE Tournament (JOT) held on Monday, April 1 in Den Willecom, Edegem, Belgium.
The under-11 duo remained undefeated throughout their doubles matches, leading to a thrilling victory against fellow English opponents in the finals.
The closely contested final saw a nail-biting back-and-forth between the pairs, with Saicharan and George eventually emerging victorious with a scoreline of 19-21, 24-22, and 21-14.

Saicharan also impressed in the mixed doubles event, partnering with Lotte Den Hond to secure a well-deserved bronze medal.
Saicharan is a student of Oakridge Junior School, while George studies at St Anne's Catholic Primary School.
They train at the Winchester Performance Centre (WPC).
