RESIDENTS are advised to be vigilant following a recent attempted burglary in Basingstoke.
Sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon (April 10-11), an unknown person or persons tried to break into a property in Ennerdale Close in Kempshott.
Fortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful, and no entry was gained into the house.
No items were reported stolen. The crime reference number for this incident is 44240152054.

This comes after a burglary was reported in Derwent Road in Kempshott several weeks prior.
On Saturday, February 3, between 7pm and 10pm, thieves gained access through the rear sliding door of a property and stole various items. The crime reference number for this burglary is 44240152209.
Police did not say the two incidents are related.
