TWO ice skaters who train at Basingstoke's ice rink have proudly represented the rink at the Blackpool Ice Festival.
Helen Leighs and Isabelle Lamacq both succeeded and enjoyed their routines in various categories.
Isabelle, coached by Carly and Sam Elliott, performed a clean skate in the U10 free skate category, coming 13th in a huge group.
Helen, coached by Fiona Harris, took part in the adult free skate category and came eighth to receive a season-best score in another challenging group.

Another day brought the fun solo exhibition routines, which are similar to theatre shows on ice, involving lots of props and costume changes.
Helen skated a routine for the 100th-anniversary celebrations of Disney, including a medley of three Disney princess songs. She came a very respectable 11th out of 18 in the 11-year and over age group.
Isabelle skated a fun routine to Where's Walley and gained an amazing bronze medal in the U10 age group.
The pair said: "We both love and appreciate being able to train locally in the rink, and support the campaign to keep the rink open so that we can continue enjoying a sport that we love, and enter these competitions."
