Basingstoke Town FC Women’s Team manager Nathan Cookson has announced his resignation from the position after four years in the role.
During his tenure, Nathan led the team to remarkable success, achieving two promotions and securing a cup victory, and also contributing to the development and growth of the women’s side.
The club said it is conducting an internal review to decide the best course of action to further develop and strengthen the women’s team.
Commenting on his departure, club chairman Jack Miller said: “We as a club would like to take this opportunity to thank Nathan for his dedication, hard work, and achievements. We wish him all the very best in his future endeavours. Nathan has been a fantastic manager for the Women’s team, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything he’s done for the club.

“Under his leadership, the team has achieved great success, and we’re determined to take this opportunity to build on that.
“The club is now undertaking an internal review of the vacant women’s team management position. This review will allow us to determine the best course of action to further develop and strengthen our women’s team, ensuring its continued success.
“We are committed to building a strong and sustainable future for Basingstoke Town FC Women. We will provide further updates regarding the team’s management structure in due course.
“In the meantime, we would like to thank our fantastic women’s team players, coaching staff, and supporters for their ongoing dedication to the club. We look forward to continuing the exciting future of Basingstoke Town FC Women.”
