THE Haymarket in Basingstoke is to stage a thrilling production centred on the world-renowned magician, Harry Houdini, from May 9 to 11, beginning at 7.30pm.
The plot follows Houdini and his wife Bess, as they prepare for a career-defining performance for King Edward, only to be wrongfully accused of murder – a plot orchestrated by criminals and the police chief.
Audiences are promised a night filled with sparkling wit, physical comedy and a touch of chaos, as they watch the famed escapologist attempt to clear his name. These performances are brought by New Old Friends, known for their award-winning style and worked on by a dedicated team of four performers.
