AN ANIMAL welfare organisation in Hampshire has received a £5,000 charity windfall from Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards.
DogsnHomes Rescue works to find 'forever homes' for dogs rescued in Portugal and the UK, and has stepped up its efforts to help pets abandoned amidst the warfare in Ukraine.
The awarded sum enables its endeavours to continue, including supporting Ukrainian animal shelters and sending necessary supplies. The award coincides with the shipment of two tonnes of pet food to the pets most in need.

Meanwhile, Benefact Group gears up to donate more than £1m this year, acknowledging numerous other animal welfare charities, and continuing its mission to reach £250m in donations by 2025.
Gary Baxter, co-founder of DogsnHomes Rescue, said: "We're so very grateful to be winners of Benefact Group's Movement for Good Award. The £5,000 donation will be used to fund our ongoing deliveries of pet food, aid and medical supplies to the cats and dogs left behind in Ukraine. This is an animal welfare crisis on an unimaginable scale and it's only thanks to such incredible support that we can continue our work."
