A PUB in Cliddesden serving a combination of British classics and Thai cuisine has been handed a four-out-of-five food hygiene rating - improving on its previous score.
The Jolly Farmer, in Farleigh Road, was rated 'good' following a revisit from inspectors on March 19.
Food safety officers rate food hygiene by handling of food, the cleanliness and condition of the building and facilities, and the officer's confidence in the establishment.

The pub was previously told 'major improvement necessary' after an inspection on December 20. The Jolly Farmer told the Gazette that this was due to a website crash during the inspector's visit.
A pub spokesperson said: "We had the food hygiene rating that the pub received in January because we weren't able to reach our website during the busy Christmas trade time so we couldn't provide our food safety records at that time, this has already been upgraded to a four out of five in the latest inspection.
"We trained and certified our kitchen staff again and we provided our food safety records properly so we got a better rating this time.
"We plan to upgrade some of the kitchen equipment now so we hope we will get a full rating next time."
