In a video also posted by Dame Maria, she said: “So fantastic to be out here campaigning today with Theresa May in Basingstoke. And Theresa, you were able to meet a lot of our candidates, including our candidate here in Hatch Warren and Beggerwood.”
Mrs May said: “It’s been fantastic, you’ve got a great Conservative team here working really hard for the local residents. And Taylor Parnell, the candidate in Hatch Warren and Beggerwood is really young, enthusiastic and energetic.
“He’s already been taking up issues, getting involved in issues to stop some houses on a piece of land. He’s been an absolutely first class candidate, but so is the whole team.”
Also standing for election in the Hatch Warren and Beggarwood ward is Peter Bell (Labour), Stacy Hart (Women`s Equality Party) and Marion Wolstencroft (Lib Dems).
