REGARDING ‘rental company vans parking complaint’ in last week's Gazette, I’ve often wondered why there aren’t parking restrictions along that section of road, particularly during daytime (e.g. 8am-8pm) which would prevent the issue.

The Europcar vans pictured in the article aren’t the largest vehicles I’ve seen parked there. Sometimes larger (e.g. tail-lift) vehicles are parked which does not leave room for cars to pass in both directions (these are also Europcar).

It would certainly be nice if Europcar would be considerate and stop parking the vans along there but, to be honest, I believe parking restrictions (or making that section one-way) are the only real solution.

The other place (close to Lister Road) where parking makes it impossible for two vehicles to pass is Wella Road.
