THE opening date for a new McDonald's restaurant in Basingstoke has been revealed - and it's this month.
The fast food establishment, which will open in Chineham Shopping Centre, was granted planning permission on August 18, before beginning construction to convert the unit in February.
Now, the golden arches can be seen on the side of the building as the company prepares to open its doors on Wednesday, May 22.

The company has told the Gazette that it will reveal further information about the opening later this month.
The restaurant will open 24/7 after a licensing application to serve hot food and drinks between 11pm and 5am was granted on April 15, despite concerns from residents about litter and anti-social behaviour.
A spokesperson for McDonald's reassured residents that they take they 'have a duty to the local community' and 'high-quality CCTV' will be installed in 'all publicly accessible areas and external seating areas'.
The fast food establishment will also be operated directly by McDonald's, rather than a franchise, with 80-100 'highly trained staff' and managers trained in first aid and conflict management.
