FIRE engines along with other emergency response vehicles including police cars, were spotted in Alencon Link on Thursday.
The response, which saw crews from Tadley, Basingstoke, Rushmoor, Overton, Whitchurch and firefighters from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, shocked shoppers.
Firefighters were alerted to a disused building in the area after smoke was reportedly seen. After working to gain access, the teams investigated the source of smoke using thermal imaging cameras.
