A MAN has pleaded guilty to possessing an extreme pornographic image of an animal in Basingstoke.

Martin Berends, of Elephant Lane, in Southwark, London, pleaded guilty to the offence of possessing an extreme pornographic image / images portraying an act of intercourse / oral sex with a dead / alive animal on May 7 at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard that the 65-year-old was found to be in possession of the obscene image of the animal in Basingstoke on July 1, 2018.

Berends was handed unconditional bail until his next hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 27 when he will be sentenced.
