THE Watercress Line plans to recreate the bygone era of the 1950s and 1960s with a new summer event, 'All Change,' on June 15 and 16.

The event is set to celebrate vintage vehicles, tunes, and the enchantment of steam train travel at the heritage railway.

Visitors get to reverse time via train rides on steam and diesel locomotives along the scenic Watercress Line route.

Engaging activities, including classic car shows, music from the fabulous Fifties and Sixties by Stephanie Belle, and a peak into the restoration work at the Locomotive Shed at Ropley, are also included.

Children are welcome, with activities such as pottery painting and the locomotive playground. The event runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

The Watercress Line’s CEO Rebecca Dalley said: "We’re excited to bring the much-loved nostalgia of the 1950s and ‘60s to The Watercress Line for this brand new event.

"Book now for our fantastic All Change weekend on 15 and 16 June and enjoy the sights and sounds of this era when the spirit of change touched everyone’s lives and created an enduring legacy.

"The evolution of road and rail infrastructure sparked a sense of optimism, connecting communities at a speed never experienced before – and fabulous melodies filled the air, symbolising new-found freedom."
