Shoppers at the grand opening event will also be able to enjoy light refreshments and live classical music performed by string musicians.
Inspired by the Danish concept of ‘hygge’, best described as a feeling of cosiness, the new store will incorporate the brand’s signature Scandi aesthetics and unique in-store experience.
Customers will be able to shop a curated selection of affordable products including home décor, hobby supplies, children's toys, furniture, kitchen essentials, and more.

The Basingstoke location will also continue the rollout of the brand’s ‘Retail for the Senses’ concept, which combines a unique labyrinth-like store layout, subdued lighting and classical music, designed to relax and comfort shoppers.
Mikkel Grene, CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, said: “We are really excited to continue our rollout of the ‘Retail for the Senses’ concept with the opening of our Basingstoke store. It’s our way of promising a little bit of Danish ‘hygge’ for all our customers.”
UK joint venture partners, Norma Jacob and Richard Power, who run existing stores across the south of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, are looking forward to the new opening.
Norma said: “We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our Basingstoke location on Friday 24th May. Festival Place is the ideal location for our first Hampshire store, and we can’t wait to greet residents at the grand opening event.”
Richard added: “Opening a store in Hampshire is key to our continued expansion, we want to make Søstrene Grene stores are as accessible as possible to our customers. Our recent openings have been really well received and I’m sure Basingstoke will be no different.”
