A PUB manager says his "heart is full" after completing an impressive 30-mile trek to raise money for a children's charity.
Giuseppe Bergamasco, general manager of The Holly Blue in Beggarwood, alongside fellow team member Katy Gallagher, and friend of The Holly Blue, Tara Powell, took on the 30-mile walking challenge, hiking from Whitchurch to Reading.
The trio completed the walk in 12 hours and totalled more than 66,500 steps. To date, the team’s challenge has raised more than £1,450 for Sebastian’s Action Trust, a charity that provides care for children with life-limiting illnesses.

The Holly Blue is part of the Hall and Woodhouse family of pubs, each of which has its own chosen charity partner.
Sebastian’s Action Trust is The Holly Blue’s chosen charity for 2024 and Giuseppe’s challenge is part of the pub’s wider fundraising strategy for the year.
Giuseppe said: "A core purpose of ours at Hall and Woodhouse is making people’s day.
"Sebastian's Action Trust is a brilliant cause to support because it ensures that children living with life-threatening conditions are given the care and attention they deserve and provides essential support for their families.
"It was great to see so many people responding positively to our challenge with more than 50 donations already made to our JustGiving page. My legs might still be aching, but my heart is full having seen so many people eager to support such a great cause. Here’s hoping we reach our fundraising goal of £2,000."
Sebastian’s Action Trust was founded in 2004 and provides emotional, practical, and social support to over 600 families who have children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
The charity operates from its two centres in Hampshire and Berkshire, and money raised will allow for more resources and services to be given to those in need.
