DEMENTIA-Friendly Alton celebrates the opening of a complete, full-service facility for those living with dementia.

The impressive new centre, housed in the Assembly Rooms on Crown Hill, offers a space for family members, friends and professional carers to gather.

Run by Karen Murrell and a team of dedicated volunteers, the new facility intends to improve the lives of dementia patients as well as their loved ones.

Guests at the opening event enjoyed activities including a "Tea and Chat", a performance by the Memory Choir, and a delicious light lunch.
