A man in his 30s was taken to hospital after sustaining a serious injury to his head during an incident in Aldershot town centre that police are calling a “serious assault”.
Shortly after 7pm on Wednesday, May 15, police were called to the report of an altercation taking place between two women and a man at the side of the Queen Hotel, with the dispute moving onto Nelson Street a short time later.
Police then found the injured man. He was later found to have suffered a fractured skull and brain bleed.

Hampshire Police is investigating the incident as an assault and asking for witnesses to come forward. Police said they would like to speak with anyone who was in the area between 6.45pm and 7.20pm and saw what happened.
Police added that a 40-year-old man from Aldershot has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and a 42-year-old woman from Aldershot has been arrested on suspicion of “assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm”. Both have been released on conditional bail pending enquiries.
