AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a Basingstoke man who was stabbed in Popley.
Craig Laurie, 33, of Anglesey Close, died on May 12 in Tasmania Close.
The inquest was opened by area coroner Jason Pegg at Winchester Coroners' Court on Tuesday, May 21.
A cause of death, provided by Home Office pathologist Dr Basil Purdue, was given as stab wounds to the chest.

Mr Pegg told the inquest that he would be suspending the coronial process until after judicial proceedings had concluded.
Kenneth George Walker, 63, of Tasmania Close, is charged with murder.
The coroner gave a provisional date for a full inquest on June 4 next year.
