RESIDENTS at a Basingstoke care home celebrated World Cocktail Day which took place earlier this month.
People at Ashcombe House, in Worting Road, celebrated by creating their own mocktails, including Fruity Sunrise, Non Alcoholic Sangria and Virgin Mojitos.
The cocktails were personally delivered to each resident on a cocktail trolley. The global celebration marks the recorded definition of a cocktail in 1806.

Louise Lambert, general manager at Ashcombe House, said: "We have all had so much fun today trying all sort of different Mocktails. Our residents really enjoyed their tasting session and had great fun sampling different cocktail recipes."
Resident Joan Howes said: "This was brilliant fun, seeing the cocktail trolley all decorated and getting to sample some mocktails, there really isn’t anything better. I very much enjoyed trying some different mixes, I always like to try new things."
