ANDOVER teenagers Ollie Williams and Alex Corbett turned the heat on Hook and Newnham Basics to secure the Lions a maiden two-wicket Southern Premier Division One victory on Saturday, May 25.
After Mike Adams (3-26) had removed the Hook openers, Williams took 5-36 as the visitors lurched to 75-7 - a situation eighth-wicket pair Oliver James (39) and Jack Murrell (48) repaired to post an enhanced 178 on the scoreboard.

Corbett, who played his junior cricket at the KGV before joining Andover this winter, hit a maiden SPL 57 and shared a 78-run stand with Sanjeet Garood (44).
But spinner Charlie Neville (4-34) bowled Hook back into the game and reduced Andover to 137-5 before Dylan Melvey (32 not out) and John Nyumbu (20) eased the Lions home.
Hook seconds scored 216 (James Watterson 41) before bowling Sparsholt out for 146 to enjoy a comfortable 70-run SPL3 victory. Will Wyatt (4-20) and Liam Shore (3-38) did the damage
