SIXTY classic military vehicles, fire appliances from the Second World War and a 1937 Morris tourer will parade through Basingstoke on Saturday, June 29.

The convoy, which also includes almost 40 Royal British Legion Riders Branch members and four American police vehicles, is a special event that aims to commemorate D-Day 80.

The parade is scheduled to start from the Milestones museum at 10am after marshalling of the vehicles begins at 9am.

Patron Air Commodore Peter Grinstead will salute the participants from his 1937 Morris tourer.
