THIS is the winner of the Gazette's photo competition in partnership with the Basingstoke Festival of Transport.

The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Basingstoke and Deane, was blessed with warm sunshine and clear skies on Sunday, May 19.

As usual, it was free to the public and attracted more than 850 vehicles, with 70 trade and charity stalls and food available.

We received scores of entries, and it wasn't easy to decide on one winner, but ultimately that decision had to be made.

Thank you to everyone who entered our competition, we appreciate all the hard work you put in.

Basingstoke Gazette:

The winning photographer is Ahmed AbouSaada, who took this stunning picture of a classic car. We loved the framing of the shot, with the lights looking into the soul of the viewer. The metal bodywork of the car also reflects the festival itself. The photo also shows the beautiful sunny day that blessed visitors.

As a reward for taking the winning photo, Ahmed's photo will be printed in the Gazette and he will also receive a £25 Marks and Spencer gift card.

Congratulations Ahmed!
