AMERICAN fast food restaurant Slim Chickens has confirmed when it will open in Basingstoke.
The fried chicken restaurant will open in Festival Place on Thursday, July 18 in a vacant unit previously occupied by Tapas Revolution, with free offers for the first customers through the doors.
Famous for its fresh, buttermilk-marinated, cooked-to-order chicken, Slim Chickens is set to bring a touch of Southern hospitality to a casual, fast-food setting.

To celebrate the opening on July 18 the first 30 people in line before noon will be treated to three of the restaurant’s best-selling chicken tenders for free.
Golden tickets will also be given out in-store for a chance to win free prizes every time, and one lucky person will win a free Slims for a whole year.
Alongside its famous chicken tenders, diners can choose from a menu that offers chicken sandwiches, crispy wings, wraps, loaded fries, fried pickles, salads and milkshakes.
There are also 15 handmade dipping sauces, including garlic parmesan, honey barbecue, and Slims' own best-selling signature sauce, as well as plant-based options.
