A BASINGSTOKE man who breached a criminal behaviour order by stealing goods from Co-op and Lidl stores in Andover and also assaulted a person has been given a jail sentence.
Paul Foakes-Tiffin, 48, who lives at Holiday Inn in Grove Road, entered the Co-op store in Andover on February 12 and March 12 and stole goods, thereby breaching a criminal behaviour order made on November 9, 2023.
At the time of this incident on March 12, Foakes-Tiffin also assaulted a man.
In another incident, Foakes-Tiffin stole bottles of alcohol, a packet of hay fever tablets and two packs of cheese from Lidl in Western Avenue in Andover on March 27.

Following a guilty plea, he was jailed for 12 weeks.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court found that the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified.
The magistrate said the defendant had a 'flagrant disregard for court orders'.
He has also been ordered to pay compensation for the value of the stolen goods to the businesses.
He was also ordered to pay £85 as costs.
