Farnborough Airport has completed a major £3m security screening upgrade.
This significant development comes in the wake of the UK Government’s amendment to the Aviation Security Regulations on June 1.
The investment includes the introduction of two state-of-the-art cabin baggage screening lanes, equipped with the cutting-edge C3 screening technology, and advanced security scanners.
The C3 screening technology, the highest-rated aviation security equipment currently available, enhances the high-quality passenger experience at Farnborough Airport.
The technology allows passengers to keep large electronic items such as laptops, tablets, and phones in their cabin baggage during screening.
Furthermore, passengers are now permitted to carry liquids exceeding 100ml, up to 2 litres, without having to remove them from their bags.
These combined features streamline the security process, negating the need for multiple trays and repacking, which in turn enhances passenger journey efficiency.
In terms of passenger screening, the new security scanners, replacing traditional metal detectors, assure maximal security in a non-intrusive way.
The airport claims this breakthrough technology, paired with Farnborough Airport’s services, bolsters its dedication to delivering superior standards of customer care.
