AN OAKLEY teenager and his bandmates are releasing their first single on Spotify, ahead of touring this summer.

Harry Eley and his band Avenue will release No Excuse, recorded at the Bookhouse Studio, in London, on June 20.

The 17-year-old said: “We’re excited to get this first track released and we can’t wait to get out there gigging and then back into the studio to record our debut album. We hope you all love it.”

Harry is currently studying a music diploma at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where he met his bandmates.

The teenager aims to complete his diploma before excelling to a degree level and completing the course by June 2025.

During the break from university this year, Avenue will go on tour with a number of gigs planned in Guilford, London and Basingstoke.

Eley first took an interest in music at age six and began experimenting with songwriting at age 14. He has since then performed at charity gigs, raising money for local causes.
